Return & Refund Policy

Every Ruchira piece is carefully curated in small quantities, and many items are handcrafted, handwoven, or finished to order. Please review this policy before making a purchase.

Cancellations

Orders cannot normally be cancelled once placed, especially for ready-to-ship, customized, stitched, finished, or preorder items.

Since many Ruchira products involve sourcing, finishing, or customization after order confirmation, cancellation requests may not be possible once order preparation has begun.

Customers are encouraged to clarify colors, fabrics, blouse options, measurements, delivery timelines, and styling questions before placing an order.

Handloom Variations

Every handwoven saree is unique. Small weave irregularities, texture variations, zari tone differences, and slight color variations are natural characteristics of handcrafted textiles and are not considered defects.

Actual product colors may vary slightly due to screen settings, photography, lighting conditions, and device displays.

Natural folds or creases resulting from packaging, transit, or professional finishing are also not considered product defects.

As these variations are inherent to handloom and handcrafted products, they are not eligible grounds for return or refund.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an incorrect item or believe there is a genuine manufacturing defect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, clear photographs, and an unedited unboxing video.

The video must clearly show the sealed package before opening and continue without pauses or edits until the product is fully removed and inspected. The product and the issue being reported should be clearly visible in the video.

Claims submitted without an unedited unboxing video may not be eligible for review.

Once the issue is verified, Ruchira will provide an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Return shipping instructions, where applicable, will be shared only after the claim has been reviewed and approved.

If a return to Ruchira is required after claim approval, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs unless otherwise communicated by Ruchira.

Customers are advised to use a reliable and trackable shipping service when returning approved items. Ruchira is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Non-Returnable Items

Products with blouse stitching, fall & pico, tassels, custom finishing, alterations, or any other personalized services are not eligible for return or exchange unless a verified manufacturing defect or incorrect item is confirmed.

Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and returned in their original condition with all tags, packaging, and accessories intact.

Products showing signs of use, perfume, washing, staining, damage, or alteration after delivery are not eligible for return or exchange.

Minor handloom variations, slight color differences due to photography or screen settings, natural texture variations, zari tone variations, and packaging creases are not considered defects.

International Orders

International orders are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

In the unlikely event of receiving an incorrect item or a verified manufacturing defect, customers must contact Ruchira within 48 hours of delivery with the required photographs and an unedited unboxing video.

Such cases will be reviewed individually, and an appropriate resolution will be provided at Ruchira's discretion.

Approved Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after approval.

Shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, and other applicable fees are non-refundable unless the refund is due to an incorrect item or a verified manufacturing defect.

Refund timelines may vary depending on the customer's bank or payment provider.
